Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Trade Anything. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please don’t use the app.
1. The service
Trade Anything is a peer-to-peer marketplace for swapping items (no cash exchanges). We don’t own the items posted, we don’t take custody of them, and we are not a party to any trade between users.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) and able to enter a binding contract.
3. Your account
Keep your password secret. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away at tradeanything@yahoo.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Listings & conduct
You may not post items that are illegal, stolen, counterfeit, recalled, hazardous, sexually explicit, or that infringe someone else’s rights. You may not post phone numbers, emails, links, or social handles in listings or bios (subscribe to message users directly). We may remove listings or suspend accounts that break these rules.
5. Trades
Trades are agreements between users. We don’t guarantee that any trade will happen, that an item is as described, or that the other party will follow through. Meet in safe public places and inspect items before exchanging.
6. Subscription & payments
Messaging requires a $2.99/month subscription processed by Stripe. The subscription auto-renews until you cancel it from the in-app Subscription screen (Stripe customer portal). Refunds are at our discretion and we comply with all applicable consumer-protection laws. Taxes may apply based on your location.
7. Content you post
You keep ownership of photos and text you upload. You give us a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute it inside the app so the service can work. You confirm you have the rights to everything you post.
8. Reporting & safety
Use the in-app report and block tools if a user or listing breaks the rules. We review reports and may take action including removing content, suspending accounts, or contacting law enforcement.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is.” We don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every possible attack. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $20.
11. Termination
You can delete your account anytime by emailing tradeanything@yahoo.com. We can suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.
12. Changes & governing law
We may update these Terms. We’ll announce material changes in the app or by email. These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Trade Anything operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
